Caleb + Jasmine

It was a dreary Tuesday in late October when Caleb and my paths serendipitously crossed at “The Bound Page” bookstore; he, deep in the “New Releases,” accidentally spilled his coffee on a copy of Moby Dick that I had just picked up in the “Classics” section. Instead of annoyance, I responded with a melodic laugh, joking about Ahab’s revenge, which instantly disarmed him and led to him offering to buy me a new book and coffee. Our impromptu cafe chat stretched for hours as we discovered shared passions for indie bands, a mutual dislike for cilantro, and a surprising ability to complete each other’s sentences, solidifying the coffee-stained Moby Dick as our unique, messy, and beautiful origin story, forever making Tuesdays our favorite day.
